Betelgeuse

Betelgeuse is around 600 light years from earth and it is what astromomers call a red giant. Betelgeuse is so big that if it were placed in the middle of our solar system were our sun is it's diameter would almost be equil to the orbit of Saturn, keep in mind Saturn is almost 1bil miles from our sun. Over the past 15 years Betelgeuse has shrank by 15% which means it will most likely be going supernova soon but soon in astronomical terms could be a while. If it does in our life time it will be some spectical to see, it will be so bright you will clearly be able to see it during the day. Very cool, do not worry we are not in any danger, it is just to far away.
