This is one of my Favorite Moons to Photograph. BTW waxing means "growing" in laten so when the Moon is Waxing Cresent it means it is growing to a Crest Moon. Waning means "pulling away" in laten so when the Moon is Waning Cresent it is pulling away from the Cresent Moon. Both the terms are used to descibe the sun light hitting the moon relative to our view on the earth.
