The Plaeides also known as the Seven Sisters and M45 is an Open Cluster containing middle aged stars in the constellation Taurus. It is the closest star cluster to earth at roughly 440 light years. Although known as the Seven Sisters there are approximately 800 stars in the cluster. It is also the logo for Japanese auto manufacturer Subaru. This is looking into the center of Plaeides at Alcyone
